Welcome to our website!

Schmiesing Flower Farm is family owned and operated greenhouse located on our family farm in rural Walnut Grove, MN. Starting as a hobby after graduating with a degree in Horticulture from SDSU, we have grown to provide 3 greenhouses full of green and growing plants to beautify your life! We grow all of our own plants and sell them here, giving them our personal touch daily. We start growing in February and the greenhouse opens in April. Because we grow everything we sell, what you see is what we have! If there is something we don't have, let us know and we will grow it for you if we can. We also take orders for custom planters and baskets, in your pots or ours! We strive to grow quality plants at a reasonable price!

We enjoy hosting groups such as 4-H, ECFE, women's clubs, church groups, and schools. Let us know if you are interested.

A fun highlight for the kids is the small barn full of animals to see and enclosed play area for them to play while you shop!  Our children work here too, so don't be surprised to see them pointing you to where plants are, running the till, and carrying your purchases out to your car! Teaching them to work here is important to us!

And when our weather turns cold and you need something else to decorate your outside, we have classes, here or at your location, for you to create a winter planter to beautify your doorstep.

We also design fresh flowers for weddings, prom, special occasions, and funerals year round. Let us show you some of the work we have done.
